Following the 2011 Fukushima disaster in Japan, Southern Californians organized to permanently close the long-troubled San Onofre plant in 2013 and are continuing to work to ensure tons of lethal radioactive waste are stored as safely as possible for eternity.

Documenting this critical, but little-known struggle, SOS - The San Onofre Syndrome will inform and inspire others faced with aging reactors in their communities, and challenge those now advocating a whole new generation of nuclear power plants.
